31 December – New Year’s Eve
Arrive from the afternoon for a welcome drink and a leisurely Afternoon Tea, giving you time to unwind before the celebrations begin.
This year’s celebration takes the shape of a Studio 54‑inspired Idle House Party. A glamorous, 70s‑disco gathering with arrival fizz, canapés and a multi‑course menu featuring classic 70s dishes reimagined the Idle way, all wrapped in a relaxed, sociable house‑party feel.
Throughout the night, live music brings a joyful energy as guests mingle, chat and drift between the bar and restaurant. As midnight approaches, everyone steps outside for a harbour‑side toast, before returning indoors for nightcaps and the final moments of celebration.
1 January — New Year’s Day
A slow, restorative morning begins with a late breakfast and a festive drink to ease into the first day of the year.
A long, Sunday‑lunch style service follows, relaxed, generous and perfect for lingering into the afternoon. This is an optional dining experience, simply added to your room bill should you wish to join us.
As the day unfolds, guests can shape their own pace with a choice of optional afternoon and evening experiences:

To confirm your reservation, a deposit of 50% of the total stay is taken at the time of booking. The remaining balance is charged six weeks prior to arrival.
Cancellations made more than six weeks before arrival are fully refundable. For cancellations within six weeks of arrival, the full cost of the stay will be charged.
